Congregations open up their buildings to serve children, the hungry, the homeless and others in need. Sacred places stabilize neighborhoods, strengthen commercial districts and significantly add to the economic health of our communities. All of this is endangered, however, when congregations can no longer afford to maintain these aging buildings. Partners has developed a family of highly-acclaimed resources to help congregations connect better to their communities, raise capital funds in new ways and preserve their historic building for future generations. We are the nation's only non-sectarian, nonprofit organization dedicated the sound stewardship and active community use of America's older religious properties.

Congratulations Grace United Methodist Church-Dallas, Texas

It was an inspirational evening at Grace United Methodist Church in Dallas as they unveild the improvements they were able to make as a result of their latest capital campaign, "Transforming Grace".  Partners for Sacred Places awarded them a $25,000 grant made possible by an anonymous donor who recognized the churches community service.

Grace United Methodist hosts 5 different nonprofit organizations on its small campus. They work tirelessly with the nonprofits to provide healthcare, support to teen moms, education to pre-k students who do not speak English, free legal services, and a home for seminary students. Grace UMC uses over a third of their building for community outreach!

They were able to add a much needed sprinkler system, completely update their kitchen to be used as a teaching kitchen and renovate fellowship hall! Partners awarded them a $25,000 grant last year.

This congregation is truly on a mission together!
